Rules of the Game

a play for those trying to figure out the new rules and how to do something about them

Five teens begin a game of Truth or Dare; as the game progresses, it becomes apparent that they're in a migrant internment camp and that the stakes of their game are far higher than they'd guessed.

Rules of the Game can be performed anywhere, needing no theatrical lighting, sound, or set  (though 5 chairs or a bench would be nice). We're doing this play for free for as long as the United States is detaining migrant children in abusive circumstances. Each performance will raise awareness and, if possible, funds for the non-governmental organizations working to help these children.

We are giving away performance rights for free to any group of teen actors who commits to doing the show between now and the end of the 2018-2019 school year.  Contact Ellen at offstage@earthlink.net for more information.

Seiche's mandated reporters are sickened by our country engaging in widespread child abuse; as theatre people, we hope to make some kind of impact by yelling about the situation as loudly as we can.
